For School Families, the Scrip fundraising program is one of the ways to achieve your $400 fundraising requirement.

Scrip allows you to buy gift cards for local merchants including Wal-Mart, Jewel, BP Oil and Chili’s to name a few.  Every penny you spend on the Scrip (gift) card is what you have to spend at the retailer.  This program will not cost you anything except a little time for planning.

The Great Lakes Scrip Center (GLSC) acts on behalf of Immaculate Conception School to purchase large amounts of Scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the Scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. ICS buys the Scrip from GLSC at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to our members for full face value. The bulk of the discount - from two to fifteen percent or more - is retained by ICS as revenue.  This revenue is applied toward each school family’s fundraising requirement.

We have two ways to purchase Scrip cards.  The first is through “The Scrip Store”.  The Scrip Store has retailers on hand for immediate purchase.  Please note it will be first come, first serve.  We will do our best to stock according to demand and make adjustments as necessary.  

The Scrip Store hours inside the school office are:  

Weekly: Tuesday 7:45 – 8:30 A.M. and 2:15 - 3:15 P.M.
Friday 7:45 – 9:15 A.M. (closes at 8:30 a.m. if there is no school mass)
Friday 2:15 – 3:15 P.M. (Closed if there is no school)

The second way to purchase Scrip is through our scheduled orders at www.shopwithscrip.com where Great Lakes Scrip Center’s complete list of participating retailers is available.  You will need to create an online account.  Please contact Lisa Knupp for the I.C.S. enrollment code.  The volunteers working The Scrip Store are also able to create your online account or place scheduled orders for you.  

Online scheduled orders will be placed with GLSC on Monday at 9:00 A.M.  The preferred method of payment is “Presto-Pay” which is a direct withdrawal from your checking account to GLSC.  Presto-Pay needs to be set up on your online account.  Allow 3-5 business days for it to be activated.  They do charge a $0.15 convenience fee per order.  You may also pay by check or cash.  Make checks payable to ICS.  Please have your payment clearly marked for your scrip order.  It is important to have your payment in the church or school office by 9:00 A.M. Monday morning.  If we do not have payment and your order includes a retailer we do not stock, we will NOT place your order.  Your Scrip should be available for pickup on Thursday or Friday in the school office or at The Scrip Store during its hours.  You will be notified via email when your order is ready for pickup.
