{"id":4379,"date":"2025-04-15T21:50:26","date_gmt":"2025-04-15T21:50:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ics1.org\/?page_id=4379"},"modified":"2025-04-15T21:51:26","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T21:51:26","slug":"4379-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ics1.org\/?page_id=4379","title":{"rendered":"Admissions\/Non-discrimination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[et_pb_section fb_built=&#8221;1&#8243; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; background_color=&#8221;#2900e0&#8243; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_column _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;0px|||||&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Admissions\/Non-discrimination<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Immaculate Conception School admits students of any race, color, sex, religion, national and ethnic origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally available to students at the school in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal anti-discrimination statutes to the extent that such anti-discrimination statutes do not conflict with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.\u00a0 No student will be discriminated against based on hairstyles historically associated with race, ethnicity, or hair texture, including, but not limited to, protective hairstyles such as braids, locks, and twists as stated in the Jett Hawkins Law IL Public Act 102-0360.\u00a0 Questions and\/or concerns regarding discrimination in admissions should be directed to the principal, the pastor, and the Superintendent of Schools in the Diocese of Joliet.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">All students must present a birth certificate and baptismal certificate upon registration.\u00a0 The school maintains copies of certified birth certificates for each student attending upon enrollment.\u00a0 These documents must be provided by parents\/guardians within 30 days of enrolling the student.\u00a0 Students must also present health records indicating compliance with all local and State of Illinois health immunizations.\u00a0 A request for records will be sent to the student\u2019s previous school within 14 days of enrollment.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">In keeping with the teachings of Jesus, to love and respect one another, the faculty and staff of Immaculate Conception School will make every effort to accommodate student\u2019s individual needs as resources allow. As a result of \u201cproportionate share\u201d in Illinois, the outcome of limited resources is limited services. Immaculate Conception School faculty and staff may not be able to meet every needed accommodation for every individual student.
